CBG IN CHARITY CYCLING CHALLENGE IN WALES
Support for Sick Newborn & Their Parents SSNAP, located in the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford is the charity dedicated to supporting the families of sick and premature babies. SSNAP provide emotional and practical support to families and funds innovative and life changing equipment. SSNAP receive no government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of the public to ensure they can continue to benefit sick and vulnerable babies and their parents. In an effort to raise money for SSNAP a team of seven cyclists from CBG Building Services Consultants in Oxford competed in ‘Medio Fondo of the L’Etape Wales’. The sportive was 153km long and consisted of over 2000 metres of climbing; the equivalent of 60% of the elevation from Everest base camp to the summit in around 8 hours, on a bike! After successfully completing the course on a very hot day in June supported by Mikrofill amongst others, the team is now well on its way to hitting their £2500 target for the charity.
