Established in 1962, Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) is a registered charity offering regular performances such as live music concerts, plays and independent film cinema, as well as art exhibitions and workshops for all ages. MAC is an arts organisation committed to befitting their local economy and communities. The centre is committed to ensuring their work has a minimal impact on the environment and actively promotes sustainable ways of working.

In 2020, it was concluded that due to the age and several failures of the existing boilers and with the ongoing Covid-19 disruptions, the venue’s boilers would be replaced with a more efficient alternative. Designed and skilfully installed by West Midlands based contractor, Mid-Tech Services Ltdthe replacement equipment included three Ethos 550kW floor standing condensing boilers with a combined modulation of 20 > 1 (60 > 1 total).

The Ethos floor standing range, available in 350kW & 550kW models contain 2 premix burners per boiler within a stainless-steel heat exchanger and onboard cascade control facility. The boilers incredible modulation ensures your building load is accurately matched whatever the season.

As a result, Midlands Arts Centre will see an immediate improvement in operational efficiency. The low running costs, paired with the reliability of our Ethos boilers will help one of the UK’s most popular art centres to improve their efficiency and sustainability.
