STUART TURNER GROUP LAUNCH MINI, MIDI & MAXI AP FOR BEST IN CLASS PUMPED PRESSURISATION UNITS

Mikrofill, known for producing quality pressurisation units such as the Mikrofill 3, have launched the improved Mini and Midi pumped pressurisation units, alongside the new Maxi AP, bringing together the best of engineering from both Mikrofill and Aquatech Pressmain brands, both of which are part of the Stuart Turner Group.

All manufactured in Britain, the Mikrofill Mini and Mikrofill Midi are suitable for maintaining pressure in large residential and small commercial sealed heating systems, chilled water systems, refrigeration units and industrial cooling systems.  As part of the improvements to these compact and easy to install units that can be wall or floor mounted, Mikrofill have moved to using recycled ABS, a thermoplastic polymer that is strong, durable and versatile, suitable for vacuum formed components such as the PCB and pump covers.

Listening to what customers wanted, the fasciasfascia’s have been updated and the unit’s casings now include plate brackets to secure the cover to the top of the tank and fixing screws to lock the cover in place.  The colour of the casings has also been upgraded to blue, as part of the pressurisation family and to match the iconic Mikrofill 3, also manufactured in Britain.  The Mikrofill Mini is offered in 130 single pump and 230 twin pump options, and the Mikrofill Midi is available in 135/150 single pump and 235/250 twin pump options to meet customer requirements.

The new Mikrofill Maxi AP is suitable for larger system capacities.  Developed by combining features and bringing together brand recognition, engineering excellence, and quality as standard, this new unit combines the best of both the Aquatech Pressmain AP unit and current Mikrofill Maxi to bring to market a best in class pumped pressurisation unit, the Mikrofill Maxi AP.

Following feedback from customers, the Maxi AP has been redesigned internally to offer better serviceability space, compared to the previous Maxi.  With better access, the pump(s) have been fitted to removeable base plates and flexible hoses included for easier removal.  The controls are contained in an easily accessed IP55 rated enclosure by removing the top panel from the unit and the adjustable feet have been retained alongside the optional ability to fix the unit securely to the floor.

The controllers have seen a significant update to the new advanced Ai100 system microcontroller, retaining precise pressure control but also providing a more intuitive user interface and simplified feature access.  Another great feature of the Mikrofill Maxi AP unit is it includes ModBus, enabling it to be easily connected to Building Management Systems.  The unit is available in 140 single 4 bar pump, 240 twin 4 bar pump, 180 single 8 bar pump and 280 twin 8 bar pump options.

Stuart Savill, Head of Engineering for Stuart Turner Group commented “We have listened to feedback from customers and with Stuart Turner Group investment, we have designed and developed a family of new enhanced pressurisation units to meet market requirements.  We are proud to be bringing the Mikrofill Maxi AP to market.  Aquatech Pressmain is well known in the specification market  for its engineering excellence and combining the Aquatech Pressmain AP unit with the Mikrofill Maxi, we have designed and developed a best in class pressurisation unit that meets and exceeds customer requirements.

“Alongside the Mikrofill 3 (CAT 4 approved for commercial use) and the range of Aquatech Pressmain pressurisation units, we are confident we offer a family of pressurisation units that will fit and fulfil customer projects, backed by brands that are well known for quality and, customer service and that are trade trusted”

The redesign and improvements made to these units is a marked step for Mikrofill, using best in class engineering and offering a range of solutions to support building pressurisation; Aquatech Pressmain range alongside the new Mini, Midi, Maxi AP and the Mikrofill 3, the iconic digital pressurisation unit.
