Maco Ltd, a leading door and hardware manufacturer in Kent has recently benefitted from a new LPHW plantroom upgrade supplied by Mikrofill Systems Ltd. The current plot is home to a production facility, warehousing, office space and training centre.

The new scheme was designed and installed by long standing mechanical and electrical contractor, Hadene Building Services Ltd of Chatham. The project involved the careful removal of the existing plant with the bare minimum of disruption whilst maintaining a continuity of services to the site.

The new LPHW system incorporating 3 x Ethos 110 kW condensing boilers with a combined modulation of 1 > 30 now supplies a mixture of CT and VT circuits throughout the site. In addition the stainless steel boilers also provide an indirect supply to an Extreme 200 litre HWS loading cylinder. The new boilers efficiency is maximised throughout HWS production as the cylinders plate heat exchanger is designed to operate at a Δt of 30°C (80/50°C).  The Extreme 200 standing at only 1.3m tall can produce in excess of 2200 l/hr and 545 litres in 10 minutes.

The installation was complimented by a Mikrovent header/air and dirt separator and Mikrofill pressurisation package.
