In late 2014 the ageing heating plant at Malinsgate Police station in Telford Shropshire was replaced with 6 No Ethos 130kW condensing boilers. As a result of the collective output range of 780kW > 13kW (turn down ratio of 60 > 1) the boilers efficiency is unsurpassed and the Nox levels are only 33mg/kW.
Each stainless steel boiler contains a shunt pump and were supplied c/w a Mikrovent low loss header/air and dirt separator, a pre commissioned Mikrofill 1000/2 pressurisation package and a modular frame kit.
Much to the satisfaction of the client, all services were maintained throughout the winter’s six week project. This was in large due to the phased design programme by prominent services consultant ESDP Ltd and the conscientious approach of the installer Lord Combustion Services Ltd. The new equipment supplies LTHW to both CT and VT systems within the station serving a mixture of radiators, fan convectors, AHU’s and an existing DHWS circuit.
