Owned and operated by Bloxwich Community Partnership the new Stan Ball Centre is a replacement of the original Stan Ball Senior Citizens Centre which dated back to the 1960’s.

The new facility is one of a pair of buildings that will now provide opportunities and accommodation to meet the needs of the older residents of north Walsall as well as a safe and secure environment for those with learning difficulties.

The modern part timber clad building backing beautifully onto the Wyrley and Essington canal was mechanically designed by leading Building Services Consultant Bennett Williams who clearly highlighted performance and efficiency as a prerequisite for the project.

Two Mikrofill Ethos 90kw stainless steel wall mounted condensing boilers pressurised via an EFD and coupled with a Rapide Extreme domestic hot water loading system were clinically installed by seasoned mechanical contractor Wychbury Engineering.

This installation manages to utilise the full potential of the Ethos turn down ratio of 180kw down to 13kw resulting in condensing mode being consistently achieved whether providing LPHW to the heating or domestic hot water circuits.
